My Story
I’m an engineer with a background in process improvement, supply chain management, and manufacturing. But after years in that field, I took a steps to live a more values based life and give back to my community.
I started working in disability support and found myself helping young adults prepare for independent living — learning to manage a home, take care of themselves, and navigate daily life.
What struck me was the lack of physical and visual tools to support this kind of learning. Teaching life skills is often verbal, repetitive, and not very engaging—making it harder for learners to absorb, practice, and stay motivated. I saw firsthand how gamified, structured, and visually appealing tools could help people build skills in a way that felt rewarding rather than like a chore.
I started Indie Life to realise a vision to create versitile, practical, and visual tools designed to make teaching and learning indepenent living skills more engaging and more effective.
